Here is a cute DIY project that only takes 5 minutes tops! I made about 60 button push-pins for the bulletin board that will hang over my craft table. I am ashamed to admit that I have not yet finished the bulletin board, but it is on my DIY to do list. This is how my push-pins turned out:
Supplies needed for this project:
~Hot glue gun and glue sticks
~One piece of scrap cardboard or foam core board
~Buttons. I chose Happily Ever After Buttons from Two Peas in a Bucket
You can also use old broaches or earrings that can be found at most antique stores and flea markets.
Stick the push-pins into a scrap piece of cardboard. This will keep the push-pins in place while you glue the buttons on and it will keep any stray hot glue drips off of your table.
Glue the buttons to the head of the push-pins. Make sure that you use buttons with a flat bottom otherwise the buttons will not stick to the push-pins.
Let the glue cool for a few minutes before using the push-pins.
I have also started making magnets for a magnet board that will hang next to the bulletin board over my craft table. As soon as I finish making the magnets I will post the instructions.
