Getting Organized

I've been trying to get more organized lately and in doing so I've come across some boldly colorful and funny products that I thought I'd share with you all. While I've come across magnetic strips at many different stores, these strips from The Container Store come in a wide variety of colors and are perfect for hanging photos and notes that you don't want cluttering the surface of your desk.

Mini Magnetic Strip $4.99 each from The Container Store.

I'm not sure that I'd ever need a paperweight since it's not like I have huge gusts of wind rolling through my office everyday, but these paperweights from See Jane Work are just too cute not to share.

Monogram Paperweights for $65 at See Jane Work.

Everyday I get the mail and plop it in the same spot on my kitchen counter without giving it a second thought. However, this stainless steel wall pocket would be perfect for holding my mail which would give me a few more precious inches of clear counter space. I could also use the magnets I made to hang notes one the front of the pocket.

Stainless Steel Magnetic Wall Pocket for $21.99 at The Container Store.

These boxes would be great for storing just about anything and are cute and colorful enough that to keep out instead of hiding them in the back of a closet somewhere.

Large Document Boxes for $18 each at See Jane Work.

Magazines are the one of the few things that I have trouble parting with no matter how out of date they are or how much room they take up. After years of storing old home decor magazines in clear plastic tubs, I finally made myself go through each and everyone. I tore out the pages I wanted to keep. Now I've reduced several tubs full of magazines down to just one binder full of magazine pages organized in clear plastic sleeves. To avoid hoarding magazines again, I keep just a few in a magazine holder. Though the magazine holder that I use is admittedly not as stylish as these magazine holders from See Jane Work.

Thomas Paul Magazine Holders for $17.50 each at See Jane Work.

This chalkboard is not only pretty but it can also be removed from the wall. So if you change your mind on where to place it, no problem!

Rococo Oval Chalkboard for $36 at See Jane Work.

Although you could easily buy cheaper file folders at other stores I just had to share these hilarious folders from Paper Source. My favorite is the "USELESS DOCUMENTS TO PROVIDE APPEARANCE OF IMPORTANCE IN MEETING" folder.

Knock Knock Stuff File Folders $10.50 for a pack of six folders at Paper Source.

Knock Knock Useless File Folders $10.50 for a pack of six folders at Paper Source.

How Cute are these Bread and Budder Buckets?

Sorry for the long lapse between posts, but preparing for the baby has been taking over my free time lately. I first came across these charming little Bread and Budder Buckets a little over a year ago. At the time I didn't have a good excuse to buy them, but now I'm contemplating getting a medium sized bucket to hold the little odds and ends that have accumulated in the nursery or maybe a big bucket for toys. Or maybe I'll be selfish and get a few small ones to use in my craft area to hold paint brushes, pens, pencils, markers, and such. If you're looking for an excuse to buy them for yourself you may want to check out the Bread and Budder website where they've come up with a list of 102 uses for these handy buckets.
