Map Art for Less
Just look how similar this USA map art from Target and Pottery Barn are. Who would have guessed that the Target version would cost twice as much as the one from Pottery Barn? Not me, but it is. I also found this project on the Martha Stewart website for creating a US map using a template from the website and scrapbook paper. It's intended to be used as a page in a scrapbook to commemorate the recent election but it could also be used as wall art in a kids room.

We're on our way
...from Michigan to Iowa to visit family. It's a 13 hour drive one way with an infant in the car. This should be interesting. She usually likes car rides so hopefully everything will go smoothly. Wish me luck!

My Addiction: Magazines
I think I have a problem. I was looking to see just how many magazines I currently subscribe to and was surprised by the number. 14! Magazines are definitely an addiction of mine. Here's my list, I like them all, but my favorites are Southern Living (funny because I live in Michigan), Real Simple, and House Beautiful.

New Year's Party

Happy Birthday to Me
Today is my 25th birthday. I cannot believe that I'm already a quarter of a century old! Then again I've felt like I was having a mid-life crisis every year since I turned 18. *Sigh* I wish I could be a little kid again, though now that I have a daughter I have an excuse to watch Disney movies and buy toys again without looking silly. My birthday usually falls on the winter solstice meaning that out of all the days in the year my birthday has the least sunlight of them all. Go me. So I decided to show some cheery photos brighten my mood a bit.
