From My Stack of Magazines: February

Grandma is watching my little munchkin tonight so I've had some time to catch up on my stack of magazines and blogging. Here are some of my favorite images from the February issues in the stack.

Look-a-Likes for Less: Obelisks

The Restoration Hardware obelisks only come in one size and style, however, they look almost identical to the obelisk in the picture below (second from the left) from Williams-Sonoma Home. I mean really $650 for an obelisk, I think not.

Crystal Obelisks $88.00 - $650.00 at Williams-Sonoma Home.

Crystal Obelisk Bookends $45.49 (set of two) at Restoration Hardware.

Look-a-Likes for Less: Tuscan Jars

I found Tuscan jars on the Pottery Barn and Southern Living at Home websites. The red jar from Southern Living at Home would go so well with my red KitchenAid appliances in my kitchen. Southern Living at Home also sells smaller vase sized versions of their olive jars which I did not include a picture of but they look similar to the larger jars.

Tuscan Urns $89.00 - $199.00 at Pottery Barn.

Tuscan and Verona Olive Jars $64.95 each from Southern Living at Home .

Busy Day Today

I visited with the family today, went to Costco and Joann Fabrics, and did some damage at Home Goods today. I bought a pharmacy style lamp to go on my craft desk and a cork board to hang on the wall behind the craft desk. I'd been looking for a lamp for awhile but couldn't find one that was that style for under $80. The one I bought at Home Goods today was only $39.99. Yay!

I intend to turn the cork board into a magnet board so that probably won't get hung up for awhile since I have other projects that I need to get done before that. One of which will be to reupholster the seats of my dining room chairs. Here is the fabric I picked for the seats, it was exactly what I wanted and half off. Can't beat that!

I think these table linens from Williams-Sonoma Home and Comptoir de Famille would coordinate well with the fabric from Joann Fabrics.

Isn't She Beautiful?

She just arrived in the mail today from White House Black Market. The tote is a bit bigger than I anticipated, but I think she's beautiful. Plus, I enjoyed getting mail that wasn't junk mail for once.

From My Stack of Magazines: January

Here are some of my favorite photos from my January stack of magazine. These are of a residence in Beirut shown in the January issue of Architectural Digest. I think the garden is gorgeous with the vine covered pergola creating a shaded sitting area.

Pink, Part Three

Even more pink. I would love to have a pink bedroom, however, I doubt my husband would agree to it. Click on the links to see Pink Part One and Part Two.
