The August issues of both Better Homes and Gardens and Martha Stewart Living featured ideas for throwing ice cream socials including DIY invitations. What a yummy way to bid farewell to summer.

These framed road maps shown in Martha Stewart Living look like great way to commemorate a summer vacation, but I think they would look even better as a backdrop in a shadowbox with a few knickknacks picked up on the trip in the foreground.
